Clays Jamboree
Rules & Regulations
All Clays Jamboree events will be conducted in accordance with National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) official rules and regulations for registered tournaments. Rules will be enforced for safety of all.
The Event
1. The Clays Jamboree is a mixed open event. Participants from any state may participate. This is primarily a youth event, but coaches, parents and friends are welcome to participate.
2. It is recommended that you are familiar with basic scoring rules used in NSCA. You can find the rulebook at www.NSCA.com
3. Malfunctions will be handled in accordance to NSCA rules. Gun, shooter, ammunition, and target malfunctions will be noted.
4. Each shooter and coach will verify shooter's score before leaving the station, once shooter has left the shooting stand the score if final.
5. A shooter may disagree with the call from the field judge. If this is the case, the shooter must protest the call with the field judge before leaving the station. Coaches and spectators cannot instigate a potential missed call - only the shooter is allowed to disagree with the field judge. In all cases, the final decision will be in the hands of the field judge and their call will stand.
6. If a coach, team member, family member or spectator addresses the field judge over a called shot or protest, shoot management has the authority to disqualify the entire squad, if deemed necessary, without refund.
7. When the last station is shot, the squad is allowed to review the score and then give the score cards back to the field judges prior to leaving the station. DO NOT LEAVE THE STATION WITH YOUR SCORECARDS. Any change in a shooters score card will be deemed cheating and grounds for immediate disqualification.
Participation
1. Participants must have competed or practiced with the understanding of what safe and fun rules of the game. If you are a new shooter, please notify shoot management and we will be glad to accomedate you!
2. Every squad must have a member that is capable of scoring and full understanding of the rules.
3. Registration will close one week prior to the start of the event.
4. This is an open shoot, there is no affiliation required or age limit. We welcome members of all organizations to compete.
Safety
1. Safety is the number one priority at this event and should be the most important factor on competitors minds. If anyone is deemed unsafe, they will be disqualified and removed from the event without refund.
2. All shooters, coaches, and spectators are required to wear ear and eye protection at all times on the courses, practice courses and game areas.
3. Coaches are present to ensure a safe and fun environment. No form of coaching or instructing a shooter should be done prior to, during, or after the shooters turn and never to impede another shooter from exiting/entering the shooting station.
4. Factory ammunition meeting NSCA requirements can only be used during this event. No reloads are allowed. Reloads are grounds for disqualification.
5. To operate a golf cart or any ATV vehicle the driver must have a valid drivers license and abide by all state laws. Permits are not considered a valid drivers license.
6. All guns must be transported in the vertical position. No horizontal gun racks allowed.
1. The purpose of the Clays Jamboree is to offer a safe, courteous and fun event for the entire family to participate in. We ask that all participants and spectators respect one another and keep this mindset for the duration of our events.
2. If you have an issue, please contact shoot management immediately.
3. Respect the grounds of each event.
4. Be cautious and careful when operating a vehicle on the property and be mindful of others.
5. Wait outside of the station area until it is your teams turn to shoot.
6. When at stations, be respectful of the squad that is competing and stay away from the shooting box when having a conversation to interfere with the shooter.
